Projects and Training

Department has its own studio and best infrastructure. 100 percent students are involved in-house projects including inter-departmental. The Projects are :

Youtube Channel : Department has its own YouTube channel. This Channel is being run by the students of Department. They used to upload documentaries prepared by them, college news bulletin and programs like 'What Young India Wants'. Click here to visit our YouTube Channel

Lab Journal ‘Fateh’ - This is the student newspaper, run by the students of the Journalism department i.e. it is edited, managed and designed by the students of the department. 

Radio Narrowcasting- The Department has its own narrowcasting centre equipped with Public Addressing System. Here, the students cast Morning & Evening News Bulletin. 

Documentaries - Students of the department are guided and encouraged to make documentaries on various issues. Many of these documentaries won appreciation at national and international level. These documentaries are also available on our YouTube channel

Press Releases- Journalism Department ensures media coverage of various events, activities and achievements of the college. The students of the department collect information and then draft and email press releases to media for the same.

Photography & Videography- Students of Journalism and Mass Communication Department used to capture the photographs and videos of various events and activities of the college. It helps the students to attain in hand practical training.

Radio Programme- Students have presented more than 100 programmes named ‘Saadi Dharti, Saade Lok’ at AIR, Patiala

Dissertation- It is a Research Project Mandatory for every MA(JMC) & BA(JMC) Student.

6 Weeks Training Programme- Training Programme at Media Organisations like AIR, Doordarshan, Punjabi Tribune, Day & Night News Channel, Information and Public Relations Department Etc.
